Configuration keeps getting lost after rebooting my rotuer

everytime I reboot my cisco router it looses in configuration and I have to configure it all over again each time. I just confgiured it this morning again and rebooted and everything is gone. please help

It sounds like your configuration register setting might be wrong.
if you type 'show version' on your router, the last line should say
"Configuration register is 0x2102"

it shows Configuration register is 0x2142
how do i change?

In global config mode (conf t) type
config-register 0x2102

The config register you currently have set of 0x2142 is used when you need to perform a password recovery, this tell the router to boot without using the start-up confgiuration.
