Can't get ip accounting working on Cisco 3750 switch?

Is there a problem with the Cisco 3750 switches and running ip accounting?
I can enable ip accounting on the interface and the command is accepted but when I type show ip accounting its empty.

Yes sadly this is a known problem with the 3750 series. I've even tried different IOS's on the switches but I get the same problem. You would think that Cisco would have just prevented configuring the ports in the first place since the commands apparently do nothing.
